Eco Policy

Ravenstow is committed to a more secure future. Our business practice will be respectful of global environmental issues.

Approach

  • Waste reduction

Our team will do all calculations of materials in design and construction efficiently. Less remnant waste reduces costs to the client and the planet.

  • Maintenance

We will maintain our tools and equipment to ensure a long life cycle. We will research second-hand tools and equipment availability before buying new ones.

  • Reclamation

We will identify and utilise suitable resources to reclaim within our product production. We add historical value to our equipment by using reclaimed timbers where possible. Reclaimed timber is an active reduction of transport, treatment and availability in the timber sector.

  • Repair and Renovation

We advocate the repair of pre-constructed canvas goods and equipment. Active extension of the life cycle will reduce pressure on resources. The initial expenditure is honoured by renovating existing goods, giving value to the global community. Historically speaking, the community aesthetic will also gain visual depth and accuracy. We will assist clients in rehoming existing canvas goods to offset new works.

  • Design Options

We will educate our clients on ecological issues regarding design choices. Communications will include life cycle expectations, chemical considerations and biodegradability. We will intentionally choose materials for production, packaging, bags and timbers to be respectful of the environment moving forward.

  • We will recycle any materials that are suitable for this process. We will reduce material usage that is not suitable to be recycled.
